Sharpe will have the blind side

Former Jacksonville high school star David Sharpe played well at left tackle in a very limited role last year. That role has changed dramatically in year two on campus.

Florida offensive tackle David Sharpe is just a true sophomore and yet he is the second most experienced Gator on the offensive line, even though he hasn’t started a single game.

However, Sharpe was thrown into the fray a few times last year including on the road at Tennessee in a tight game that the Gators won. Every time he played he did well.

Now offensive line coach Mike Summers knows what he has in Sharpe and has to be excited about his future. Sharpe is just as excited to get going this year.

He talks about the youth on the offensive line and how they added a lot of depth in one year to help out for the season. Sharpe also talks on camera about the difference in practices under McElwain compared to the previous staff.

Check out David Sharpe from Media Day on Wednesday…
