A big hit for the University of Florida Gator offense...
Florida's projected starting left tackle Martez Ivey will be out indefinitely after Florida head coach Jim McElwain said Thursday that he will have arthroscopic surgery on Friday.
Although McElwain said that Ivey shouldn't miss the entire season, the true freshman from Apopka was projected as the starter ion the youngest and most inexperienced offensive line in all of college football.
Citing a preexisting issue with his knee. the doctors and training staff decided it best to take care of the situation at this time.
With Ivey out, the tackle dutiies will go to sophomore David Sharpe, transfer senior Mason Halter, and true freshman Fredrick Johnson.
