Sophomore wide receiver Brandon Powell made the switch to receiver from running back this year and it’s shown to be a productive move. Still learning his new role, Powell has taken the challenge and is putting finishing touches on his game.
The new offense is going to put Powell in multiple spots on the field to use him as one of their weapons.
One of the biggest problems we’ve heard from camp is butter fingers. When asked if the dropped balls have improved, Coach Jim McElwain shrugged and said “sometimes they catch it.”
Powell explains the drill when you drop a ball and what the coaching staff is doing to fix the problem. He also talks about the receiving position and how he’s adapted.
