Trip Thurman is the only returning upperclassman on the offensive line and the fifth year senior has spent the entire off-season not only mending a hurt shoulder, but trying to mentor the young guys in his group that are going to the to play a huge part for the Gators this season.
With a lot of emphasis expected to be on the Gators' passing game, big duties are put on an experienced offensive lineman like Thurman. He totally understands the hype going into the first week of football season and he embraces it and wants more of it.
In this short interview segment from this week, Thurman talks about the potential talent he sees in true freshman guard / center Tyler Jordan on the offensive line, as well as the excitement of the first game and having football back.
He understands everyone’s concerns about the youth and inexperience in his line mates, but Thurman is excited about showing what his young troops are capable of doing.
His attitude has certainly been commonplace with the offensive personnel as we approach the start of the season. It feels like a new excitement is coming for the Gators on that side of the ball.
