Florida Soccer wins 4-1 over Ole Miss

The 12 ranked Florida Soccer team defeated Ole Miss 4-1 Friday night to move to 1-1 on the year. Head coach Becky Burleigh and host of Gators comment after the match.

Gators score 4 goals in the second half to beat Ole Miss this Friday in a 4-1 for Florida.

The only goal of the first half was scored by Jennifer Miller of Ole Miss.  Miller shot off of a squared ball in the 40th minute.  

 

The first Gator goal was scored by Christen Westphal only 30 seconds into the second half.  This was Westphal's first goal since 2013.  Westphal sent a ball intended for Savannah Jordan, when the ball bounced it went into the goal.

 

The second goal was scored by Brooke Sharp in the 77th minute.  Savannah Jordan put the ball into the middle.  In the fight for control, Sharp managed to get a shot at the ball and put it in the back of the net.  

Betsy Middleton scored her first goal of the season off of a corner kick from Westphal in the 82nd minute.  

Savannah Jordan scored the final goal that was her 8th goal of the season  Jordan received a ball from Sharp and directed it into the goal in the 89th minute.
