First of all, the crowd was electric throughout the game and with the crazy finish to the game just amplified the power of The Swamp. Nate Craig took notice.
“It was a great atmosphere, coming out to see Tennessee and Florida and I felt like it was a great game,” he said.
And the Gators scored two touchdowns in the waning minutes of the contest for the one point win. Craig loved seeing that from home team.
“They dug deep and had to find themselves,” he said. “They put the ball in their play makers’ hands and they came out with a ‘W’.”
The thing that stood out the most for Craig was the fact that Florida isn’t afraid to use their young guys to win games.
“Definitely, the young receivers going out there and producing and the way Will Grier was throwing,” he said.
When is the next time he wil visit? “Most likely next week,” he said when the Gators take on Ole Miss at home.
The staff isn’t pushing him too hard even though he knows he is a wanted man. “They just told me ‘It’s great to be a Florida Gator’,” he said.
That decision he says will likely come in January.
