Jachai Polite Commits to the Gators

The Florida Gators improved their talent pool on Thursday morning when Daytona Beach Mainland star athlete Jachai Polite committed to Jim McElwain and company.

Jachai Polite is a speed rushing end and a athletic and physical tight end that could really play on either side of the bll in college.

The pass rushing demon has seen his stock increase dramatically since the start of spring ball when college scouts came by to watch and were impressed. A long time battle between Florida and Miami ended Wednesday with Polite talking to Jim McElwain and committing to the Gators head coach.

Polite confirmed the commitment with Scout's Corey Bender and he makes the 22nd commitment in Florida's 2016 class. A class that could approach 30 before all is said and done.

I watched Polite at the NIKE combine in Orlando and he was down right dominant. To these eyes he was the best defensive lineman on the field that day and was handling everyone of the best defensive linemen they threw at him.

However, Polite plays tight end as well and in the past the Gators have talked to him about either side of the ball.

Stay tuned to Scout as we catch up with Polite and his coach to find out more about his commitment.
