No. 12 Florida announced that receiver Demarcus Robinson has been suspended heading into Saturday night's rivalry game against No. 13 Florida State.
The junior receiver leads the Gators with 47 catches this season, which is 13 more than any other player. Robinson also has 505 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The Florida offense has struggled in recent weeks, including Robinson. He had just two catches for 28 yards in the last two games. It's his fourth suspension in three seasons at Florida.
Without the junior on the field, the Gators will have to lean on freshman Antonio Callaway to make plays in the passing game. Callaway has 27 receptions for a team-high 541 yards and four touchdowns, which are tied for the team lead with tight end Jake McGee.
Florida will kick off its game against the Seminoles at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN.
