Kyle Trask has been committed to Florida since July and the giant sized, big arm quarterback came to camp twice to earn a scholarship at Florida and committed shortly after being offered. He got to see his first game in The Swamp Saturday and was impressed.
“It was very loud and intense,” Trask said following the 27-2 loss to Florida State. “I really liked it.”
The Gators have had their issues on offense this year and have struggled at the quarterback position, especially lately. The message sent to Trask was pretty clear and he will have an opportunity to jump right In it pretty soon.
“I am an early enrollee,” he said. “I think it will help me a lot because I can get here and learn the system.
“They are telling to be ready when I get here, because they need depth at the quarterback position and I am ready to do whatever they need me to do.”
He has yet to take his official visit to Florida and says that visit will come the weekend of December 12th and his arrival date will depend on whether his team is still playing in the state playoffs.
Being an early enrollee is huge for Trask who has the skill set the staff really likes in a quarterback. Creating competition among the quarterbacks is a big thing and that early start can only help him and the squad.
