Nick Eubanks has the Gators in front

Florida’s top target at tight end prospect has the Gators in front after a visit to The Swamp to see things.

Florida hosted Florida State on Saturday and although the game itself didn’t turn out like the Gators wanted, the atmosphere was all they wanted and more.

“It was crazy… electrifying,” Nick Eubanks said. “It was surprising. I expected something but not like this.”

Eubanks also knows that Florida has a penchant for using the tight end position a great deal in the offense. He was told that in the off-season but he has seen it for himself during the year.  It is enough to push the Gators to the lead for his services.

“It is amazing, I love the way they use their tight ends,” he said. “Everything they told me in the summer about the way they use tight ends came to be true. I love it.

“Overall I would say Florida is in front of USC, Alabama, and LSU.”

There are several things that Eubanks does to make him a priority for Florida and he feels that from the staff.

“My ability to catch the ball,” he said as something that sets him apart. “I am better at blocking as well, but just making plays for the team. I feel like I am a priority, because I would fit well in this offense. They are on me as much as they can be.”

He says a decision time will come in late January, but talked a little about the other schools on his list.

LSU: “Tough school and good program.”

USC: “Good program and they use the tight end.”

Oregon: “They like to throw the ball a lot there too.”

Alabama: “It is a good program too to make me stronger as a tight end.”

There is no doubt that Nick Eubanks is a priority prospect for Florida. He’s had a quality experience now to think about it and knows that the Gators make the tight end position a big part of their offense.
