Florida has 4-star Feleipe Franks and Texas gun slinger Kyle Trask enrolling in January but it matters little to Haskins who is still eyeballing the Gators.
“I don’t care about competition, there will be quarterbacks wherever I go,” Haskins said emphatically after arriving for the week of festivities for the Under Armour All-American Game.
“Feleipe was on my 7on7 team at The Opening, so we are pretty good friends. He is a good quarterback. He has a Florida offer for a reason, but I am not concerned about Feleipe or anybody else.”
Along with the Gators, LSU and Texas A&M are other schools Haskins is looking at besides the one he remains committed to in Maryland.
“I am committed,” he said. “I want to go through by options.”
He was in The Swamp for one of the best atmospheres he could be at and it is something he will remember.
“Florida was fun,” he said about his official visit. “I went to the Florida State game. It was a great atmosphere even though they lost the game. I have visited Florida three times. I visited every school except LSU and A&M.”
“Florida is definitely one of the schools I am interested in. I am still committed to Maryland, but just weighing my options talking to Coach Mac and Coach Nussmeier.”
