KeVaughn Allen is just too talented to not really take off. If the last two games are any indication, we may finally have seen the turning point for this highly regarded freshman out of Arkansas.
On a team that needs some offensive spark, Allen has been somewhat of an enigma in that he came out of high school as a big time scorer and hasn't quite been that guy enough of the time for the Gators.
Averaging about 7.5 points a game through the first 11 games of the season, Allen has scored 50 in the last two games (25 pts./ game), his two highest scoring games of the year. He's also hit on 6 of 13 three-point attempts, a 46% clip. Before the last two games he hit on just 7 of 35 shots or 20% from three-point land.
In fact of Allens six double digit games this season, four have come in his last four contests.
As seen and heard in the video above, Florida head coach Mike White says Allen has really provided some confidence for the entire team with his offensive production.
