Chris Henderson Enjoys Florida Visit

Chris Henderson took a recent trip to Gainesville for Florida's first junior day. The four-star 2017 athlete talks about his time in the Swamp with FightinGators.com.

Chris Henderson is a top 2017 athlete, who already holds offers from the likes of FloridaAlabamaGeorgiaMiamiUSC, and West Virginia to name a few. His most recent visit was to Gainesville for the Gators first junior day last weekend.

"It was cool,"said Henderson. "Just building relationships with the coaches...How comfortable they treat you at Florida-the staff and the trainers and all of them [stood out],"

This is not the 2017 four-star athlete's first time in Gainesville. Henderson has visited the Gators two times previously.

"This was my third time. It was my first time seeing the indoor facility; it was cool," he said. "We [the coaches and Henderson] are talking a lot more. I talk to Randy Shannon a lot more. I talked to the head coach [ Jim McElwain] about what position they see me at and how they plan to get me on the field.

"They like me on both sides," added Henderson.  "They asked me what side I would like to play on, I told him corner, and he said they would like to use me as a returner so they can get the ball in my hands."

Henderson is being recruited as a corner, an athlete and as a running back by different schools.

Like Florida, West Virginia is recruiting him on both sides, while USC, Alabama Georgia, Illinois and Miami are recruiting him as a corner, and Louisville, Syracuse and Kentucky as a running back.

"It doesn't really matter." said Henderson of which position he will play in college.

According to Henderson, he has a strong relationship with both Miami and Florida, with Louisville, Alabama and West Virginia recruiting him hard.

"I am looking for a great relationship with the coaches," said the Christopher Columbus playmaker. He has just one additional requirement, "I just want to stay at a school that isn't too cold."

Henderson says he plans to visit Miami on February 20 and might visit West Virginia later this spring, although that visit has no been set up.

He is also seeing interest from both LSU and Michigan. The Wolverines recently signed Henderson's former high school teammate Josh Uche >
