Florida will look to add a tight end in the 2017 class, right now there are two on the board.
Tre McKitty is the three-star tight end from IMG Academy. McKitty holds offers from Auburn, Florida State, Miami, Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia among others. McKitty was once committed to the Hurricanes, but has since reopened his recruitment. It is no secret the Gators are pushing for Mckitty in this class.
He hasn't been shy about talking about his love for how Florida uses its tight ends in interviews before:
“He is showing a lot of good things this year and it will help a lot in recruiting,” the big pass catcher said. “I love the way they use their tight ends. Jake McGee talks to me a lot and he tells me it is a great place.”
But he is very close to FSU signee Shavar Manuel, and the Noles are also high on McKitty.
Four-star tight end Logan Rudolph from South Carolina has plenty of suitors. Along with Florida, Auburn, Florida State, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, South Carolina and Tennessee.
In a most recent interview, Rudolph says he has been talking to a select schools the most "South Carolina, Tennessee, North Carolina, Florida and Ole Miss."
One thing to note about Rudolph is that he is a UNC legacy - his father played there.
This is his plans for the spring:
“I’m planning on visiting Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Auburn, Ole Miss, Georgia and Tennessee,” he said. “I’m looking forward to developing relationships with the coaches and find out what my responsibilities would be at each school.”
