Florida is involved with plenty of atheltes in the 2017 class. Here is a breakdown of where the Gators stand with each one on the board.
Bruce Judson is a four-star athlete from Cocoa (Fla.). He once was committed to Ohio State, but has since reopned his recruitment and has visited Florida quite a bit. Judson has many suitors including: Florida, Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Ohio State and West Virginia among others. Back in November, he tweeted that the Noles were his number one school.
As you can imagine Judson's recruitment will continue to remain very fluid this next year.
Four-star Tampa native Devan Barrett is very high on Florida. Barrett holds offers from the Gators, Alabama, Miami, Florida State, Ohio State and Auburn, just to name a few. Barrett is a versatile playmaker that has produced as a running back and as a defensive back for his high school, Tampa Catholic.
Barrett has often referred to the Gators as a school on top of his list and one of the biggest schools that have offered him.
He has no preferance on which side of the ball he plays on in college.
Five-Star Indian River athlete Devon Hunter released a preliminary top six in the last month: Maryland, Virginia Tech, Alabama, Clemson, Florida and Ohio State. He recently visited Maryland and is set to visit Clemson. The new Terps coaching staff has done a great job already reaching out to him, especially wide receiver coach, Chris Beatty, who recruited Hunter at Wisconsin. The Gators are hoping to get him down to the Swamp sooner rather than later.
Like man on this list Jerry Jeudy has picked up offers from some of the big powers like Alabama, Florida, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State and Georgia. The four-star athlete from Deerfield Beach has heard a lot from the Crimson Tide and recently told Scout that Nick Saban has made him feel like a top priority. He hopes to visit Florida soon.
Five-star DeAngelo Gibbs is a highly touted recruit from Georgia and the Gators have some work to do with Gibbs. Schools ahead in his recruitment are Alabama, Auburn Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Texas and Baylor.
Christopher Henderson is a new four-star in Scout's 2017 rankings. The athlete is being recruited on both sides of the ball by the Florida staff, and after his recent visit to Gainesville, the Gators are sitting pretty high. Florida joins Alabama, Georgia, Miami, USC, and West Virginia in pursuit of the top playmaker out of Christopher Colombus.
Alabama is the most recent school to offer four-star athlete Bruce Jordan-Swilling. Jordan-Swilling has proven himself to be a very talented running back for his high school in Louisiana and has seen schools like Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami, Michigan, Ole Miss and Oklahoma have joined the Crimson Tide in the race for his services. The Gators will have some work to do in his recruitment.null
