2017 Gators Board: Offensive Guards

Our look inside the 2017 board continues with the offensive guards. Where do the Gators stand with a few of their targets in the trenches?

We continue our look into the future of Florida football with a look at the 2017 board and the men in the trenches-first up the offensive guards.

Five-star guard Tedarrell Slaton is wanted man, but the Gators are definitely in the thick of things for the Plantation, Florida native.  The No.1 offensive guard in the country on Scout is seeing plenty of interest from Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Duke, Tennessee and Michigan. The Noles have had their grips on American Heritage, securing the last two five-stars from that high school, however, the Gators have a chance to change that with Slaton.

Although no offer from the Gators right now, Cody Bowes is one to watch. The three-star from Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, Florida has referred to Florida as his dream school. He currently has offers from the likes of Maryland, NC State, UNC, Ohio State, West Virginia, Syracuse and UCF among others. He dominated the Florida in the summer when he was in Gainesville, but the staff did not offer.

Bowes plans to attend junior day at Tennessee and Ohio State, with trips to Maryland and WVU also on the radar. He names the Buckeyes and Vols as his top two right now. If Florida offers I could see the Gators be a school of interest.

Jordan Reid was offered last summer by Florida after he attended the Friday Night Lights camp. The Gators are definitely in play with the four-star prospect out of Michigan. Reid also holds offers from Iowa State, Louisville, Michigan, Michigan State, Syracuse and Tennessee.
