Chamarri Conner Calls Florida Offer a "Dream"

Chamarri Conner is living his dream. The 2018 safety from Jacksonville, Florida picked up an offer form the Gators after his trip to the Swamp last weekend. He talked about it with Scout.

Chamarri Conner's stock has risen. The 2018 safety from Jacksonville, picked up an offer from Florida on Saturday night. 

"It's exciting," said Conner.  "I feel good because I didn't really think they were doing to offer me when I was little. But it's a dream. It's my dream school."

The Gators joined North CarolinaOregon StateSouth Carolina, and Wake Forest among others. The Trinity Christian Academy standout picked up his offer one day after visiting the Swamp with his 7-on-7 team.  

"I like the facilities, the weight room, and the coaches," he said. His time in Gainesville was not just a campus tour, Conner was able to take a peak into a team workout in the brand new indoor facility. 

"The team they work hard and the coaches work hard too," he said.  "I liked how they practiced inside. It was very exciting and [the team] had a lot of energy."

This was also a chance for Conner to meet new Florida defensive back coach, Torrian Gray.

"I talked to him a little bit," he said. "He is really excited and happy.. he loves it there."

Conner is just beginning the recruiting process, and has no set visits in the near future. 

"[I'm looking for a school] where I can get a great education and get my degree."
