Three Women's Basketball Gators with All-SEC Honors

Florida Gator juniors Ronni Williams and Simone Westbrook along with freshman Eleanna Christinaki were announced among the recipients of all-conference awards on Tuesday chosen by the SEC Coaches.

Williams was named to the All-SEC second team and is the team’s leading scorer and rebounder. She had a team best 17 games in double figure scoring and was the team leader in rebounds 15 times this season. The team captain is the only Gator to start every game this season and has scored in 52 consecutive games as a Gator.

Westbrook earned a spot on the All-Defensive Team. She ranks 4th in the SEC in steals and is big part of a Gators team that leads the league in that category. She is the team leader in three-point play opportunities and has started the last 12 games for Florida.

Christinaki became the sixth different Gator in nine years under UF head coach Amanda Butler to earn SEC All-Freshman Team honors. She is second on the team in scoring. Among freshmen in the SEC, Christinaki ranks first in assists, and first in assist / turnover ratio. She was a three-time SEC Freshman Athlete of the Week this season. She led the team in scoring eight times this season and is second on the team with 15 double-figure scoring games.  She led the team in assists 17 times during the season. .

Florida is the No. 4 seed in the SEC Tournament and earned a double-round bye into the quarterfinal round where they will play on Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville.
