Plenty to talk about on this Friday's "Gator Blitz," as Florida prepares to host plenty of visitors on campus this weekend. Lets break down the visitors:
Expected Guests on Campus
If you've been reading Gator Blitz and the FightinGators.com boards this week, most of these visitors will not surprise you.
Top safety A.J. Terrell will be on campus, according to National Recruiting Analyst Chad Simmons. The Georgia native holds plenty of offers including: Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Notre Dame, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee and USC among others.
Four-star signal caller Emory Jones holds offers from Georgia, Colorado State, Georgia Southern, Mississippi State and Tennesee.
Four-star CB Marco Wilson is high on Florida and will be back on Friday. He also holds offers from Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklhaoma and South Carolina among others.
The 2019 offensive tackle does not hold an offer, however, holds offers from Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, Louisville and Tennessee.
The four-star defensive end does not hold an offer from Florida, however, he has plenty of offers. The 2017 pass rusher has offers from Maryland, Clemson, Mississippi, Pitt, North Carolina, Virginia Tech and West Virginia to name a few.
Paschal's teammate, Ayinde Eley, also is looking for a Gators offer. He already has Michigan State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Wisconsin, West Virginia and Nebraska offers among others.
UPDATE: More Visitors
This is Justin Watkins' third visit this spring. Great new for Gators, who look to make some ground with him.
**They are stopping by several schools down south.**
Donovan Peoples-Jones and Jordan Reid will both be among the visitors this weekend. They are touring a couple of schools in the south. Peoples-Jones has several big time offers and Florida does have some ways with him. He holds offers from Clemson, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State and Penn State among others. The four-star wide receiver is high on the Gators board.
Three-star guard Jordan Reid also holds an offer from Florida. Michigan, Michigan State, Arizona, Arizona State, Louisville, Tennessee are some of the other schools in the mix.
Gators Still on Top for Four-Star Tackle
Kai-Leon Herbert released his top ten this week, and no surprise Florida is still his number one school. Miami, Tennessee, Georgia, Duke, Michigan, Louisville, Ole Miss, Auburn and LSU are the other schools that make up his top ten. He plans to announce in the spring or before the season.
Florida Pledge Has Top Ten
Kadeem Telfort has released his top ten. The four-star offensive tackle's top ten schools are: Florida, Auburn, LSU, Miami, Mississippi State, West Virginia, Maryland, NC State, UCF and Louisville. He also mentioned USC, Alabama and Michigan as schools he is interested in, however, those three schools have not offered.
He adds that he is still committed to the Gators.
New Jersey Running Back Says An Honor to Visit The Swamp
Iverson Clement picked up an offer from Florida during his visit last month. The 2018 running back from New Jersey enjoyed his visit to Gainesville.
"I saw the offices, the football field, entered 'The Swamp,' " he told National Recruiting Analyst Brian Dohn. "It was nice. It was nice. It’s an honor to get to that kind of level of football.
"I met a lot of the coaching staff. I met the defensive backs coach, I met the running backs coach. I met a lot of them."
Xavier Thomas picked up an offer from Florida on Thursday night. The four-star 2018 defensive end from South Carolina already holds offers from Alabama, Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, NC State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio State, South Carolina and Tennessee. One thing about Thomas, his mom graduated from Florida.
Earlier on Thursday, the Gators extended an offer out west to four-star defensive end Jaelan Phillips. Phillip has plenty of suitors: Alabama, Arizona, Notre Dame, Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, USC and Washington are just some of the schools vying for the talented playmaker.
Florida also ventured west on Wednesday, when they offered Tyler Johnson. The four-star also holds offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Alabama, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, UCLA and USC have also extended offers.
One more offer was extended this week, Florida is getting in very early with 2020 athlete Tae Williams. Gators were the first to offer Williams, who will attend high school at Orange City (Fla.) University. HERE are his highlights.
