#3 WR Donovan Peoples-Jones enjoys return trip to UF

There is little doubt that the Florida Gators are trying to upgrade the talent at the receiver position. With that in mind, the nation’s third raked receiver in the country out of Detroit, Michigan paid a return visit to The Swamp and enjoyed the visit again.

Donovan Peoples-Jones has been on a big tour with teammates around the southeast, but it was important for that tour to stop back by Gainesville and check out Florida like he did for camp last June. The electric receiver with size and tremendous ability is a big time target

“I enjoyed it,” Peoples-Jones said Monday night, a day after the visit. “I visited once last summer and was eager to get back on campus. We toured, met with the coaches, and had a good time.

Florida had a huge addition from a year ago with the new Indoor practice Facility, just part of a huge facilities makeover coming for the program. It stood out for Peoples-Jones

“Just really getting back down there and seeing the new indoor was big for me,” he said.

The Florida staff has really high regard for the young man. With both head coach Jim McElwain and offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier formerly employed at Alabama, the big time receiver drew comparisons to a couple of former Crimson Tide stars… “Amari Cooper and Julio Jones”.

“They were just showing me how players in the past did, and also were comparing my styles of play to the receivers they've coached,” he said.

When asked where the Gators stand after the visit… “They're in my top 10,” he said.
