Florida Coaches Hitting the Road

Spring evaluation period is here and the Florida coaches are hitting the road this week. We take a look at where the coaches will be headed this week.

This week the mission is simple for the Florida staff: spread the message to remain in-state. The Gators assistants will be hitting up severl high schools in the Sunshine State as they focus all their efforts in the state of Florida this week.  Jim McElwain and company's goal this week is to hit all the top targets in not only the 2017 class, but in the 2018 and 2019 classes as well. 

The aim is to hit over 300 high schools this week. 

Here is a glance at the schedule: 

Monday: Jacksonville and Central Florida

-UF assistants Chris Rumph and Doug Nussmeier will see IMG Academy practice.

-Running backs coach Tim Skipper and DB coach Torrian Gray will be in the Jacksonville area to see four-star Ohio State cornerback pledge, Shaun Wade, practice.

-Before Gray heads to Jacksonville on Monday, Gray will see four-star FSU pledge, Cyrus Fagan in Daytona Beach.

-Wide receiver coach Kerry Dixon will check in on Fagan again when he hits the Atlantic Coast to see New Smyrna Beach, Cocoa and Mainland practice. Other targets on his tour include: 2019 cornerback pledge Jaleel McRae and four-star athlete Bruce Judson.

-Tight ends coach Greg Nord will hit Central Florida and will see Dunnellon practice, the home of 2019 wide receiver target, Maurice Goolsby

-Offensive line coach Mike Summers will stop to see several lineman targets on Monday. First he will head to Jacksonville to see offensive lineman Cordavien Suggs at Fletcher.

Summer is done, however. He will also venture to  South Georgia to see DeeJay Dallas and D'antne Demery

-Gators assistants Randy Shannon and Geoff Collins will hit the Orlando area and will see plenty of big time targets, including five star, Auburn pledge Calvin Ashley.

Other stops for the duo include: Apopka High School, Demarco Artis at Seminole and Stacy Kirby at Jones High, West Orange and Nick Smith at Dr. Phillips.
