On Tuesday, the staff looks to invade most of the west coast and south west part of The Sunshine State. Florida head coach Jim McElwain meets with the Southwest Florida Gator Club Tuesday and the staff will blanket the area and likely powwow afterward as a group. Here is where they are expected Tuesday.
Offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier will be in the St. Petersburg area visiting Admiral Farragut, Gibbs, St. Petersburg Catholic, and will definitely check out St. Petersburg Lakewood receiver Matt Landers who has the elite size they are looking for at the position.
Running back coach Tim Skipper and defensive back coach Torrian Gray will be in the Ft. Myers area visiting running backs Darrian Felix and Zaquandre White. Gray will also visit South Ft. Myers, Gateway Charter, and Dunbar.
Receiver coach Kerry Dixon will go to see 2018 Orange City University HS athlete Lorenzo Lingard. He’s the nephew of former Gator linebacker Howard Lingard.
Tight end coach Greg Nord will stay closer to home and stop in at Ocala Vanguard to check out 2017 quarterback N'Kosi Perry and his teammates as well as Citra North Marion to check out Clemson commit and offensive tackle Blake Vinson as well as 2018 running back running back Justin Watkins and more.
Offensive line coach Mike Summers will head to Brandon HS, Soto HS, East Bay HS, and check in on 2018 QB Devin Black at Lennard.
Defensive coordinator Geoff Collins will head over to Hardee County, Desoto County, Charlotte HS, and Venice HS.
Linebacker coach Randy Shannon will check in on Immokalee, Naples, Barron Collier, Gulf Coast, and Lely.
Defensive line coach Chris Rumph will be concentrating on future defensive linemen and will check in on 2018 stars Stacy Kirby and Dennis Briggs.
On Monday the staff hit up the space coast, touched a little bit in Jacksonville, and south east Georgia, a little in Orlando, IMG Academy in Bradenton, and more. Wednesday they will blanket the Tampa area as McElwain speaks at to the Tampa St. Pete Gator clubs. They will spend Thursday and Friday split up and casting a net over the Palm Beach, Broward, and Dade Counties as well as a small group up in the Panhandle.
