Brandone Francis-Ramirez will leave the Gators

The Florid Gators will be without one more guard on the team for next season. Redshirt sophomore Brandone Francis Ramirez has decided to transfer.

Known as a sharp shooter on the court in high school, Brandone Francis - Ramirez found his shot hard to come by as the season rolled on in 2015-2016. He averaged just 2.0 points and 1.9 rebounds per game.  As it was his time dwindled even though he did see action in 29 games.

The Gators are seeking an appeal to allow redshirt senior Alex Murphy retain his eligibility. They also have three incoming freshmen that will start school in June. With Murphy’s appeal the roster will have 12 scholarship players meaning head coach Mike White could add one more player for the 2016-2017 season.

At this point in time, any addition would appear to be a graduate transfer if they can get one, but that remains to be seen.
