Tyreke Johnson is among the best in the 2018 class. The five-star cornerback from Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville, Florida, already holds offers from several programs including: Florida, Alabama, LSU, UCLA, Stanford, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, Notre Dame, Tennessee and Miami (Fl) among others.
His size and his natural ability has certainly turned heads, however, Johnson is not letting this attention get to his head. The playmaker is currently focused on his rehab. Johnson recently had labrum surgery and is focused on getting healthy and ready for the season.
"I’m still getting better everyday," he said. "I’m increasing my knowledge for the game and understanding the game of football a little more."
Although he has put recruiting on the back burner for now, he admits there are a few schools that are recruiting him harder right now, "USC , UCLA, Stanford, Florida, LSU those are the schools that are coming at me really hard."
Johnson, who wants to study both business and finance in college, hopes to take a few visits to the west coast schools, LSU and a couple of northern schools like: Michigan, Michigan State, and Ohio State- Johnson is originally from New York.
The five-star standout discusses why the west coast schools have his interest, the Gators, and much more in the video above.
