UF Enters the Mix for Gaddy Brothers

The Gators offered defensive tackle twin brothers, Brandon Gaddy and Breyon Gaddy this week.

The Virginia Beach natives have both been adamant that they will play football at the next level with each other. At this point, Tennessee is the team to the beat. The Vols have done a great job recruiting BOTH of them EQUALLY. They were one of the first ones to offer both brothers. After catching up with Breyon this week, he admitted he did not know much about the Gators, but looked forward to their visit this spring. This recruitment won't change until that visit happens.

The Race for Defensive Backs

We caught up with plenty of defensive backs this week, here is a quick overall look at some of the defensive back targets.

The Gators are sitting VERY well with Shawn Davis. The three-star cornerback told that Florida is the school that is recruiting him the hardest, and the Miami native is expected to visit this summer. He is certainly one we are keeping a close eye on the next few months.

A date has been set for a visit for Elijah Blades. The four-star cornerback from California is set to visit Gainesville on June 4th. Blades wanted to commit on June 12th, which would signal good news for the Gators, however, in a recent interview with National Recruiting Analyst Greg Biggins, he said he could push back his commitment date. Even if he does commit this summer, don't expect Blades not to take visits in the fall. Schools in the fight for him are: Arizona, Utah, Florida and Nebraska.

Kendarian Handy-Holly is expected to get a visit from UF assistant Tim Skipper next week. The four-star safety from Alabama remains high on Florida after his visit to Gainesville for the spring game in April. In a recent interview with he said the Gators and Mississippi State are the two schools that have been recruiting him the hardest. Handy-Holly is also seeing interest from Alabama and could participate in their camp in June.

The Ohio State pledge continues to see interest from plenty of schools. The four-star cornerback could be visiting OSU this weekend, however, Shaun Wade, was uncertain whether or not that visit will happen. The Gators were on hand to check in on Trinity Christian Academy's spring game on Thursday. Skipper, Gray and McElwain have made sure to let Wade know he is a priority.

In his recent interview, Wade says he will visit the Gators this summer because he wants his parents to meet the staff.

New Offers

Anthony Cook picked up an offer from Florida this week. The 2018 four-star corner from Texas holds offers from Alabama, LSU, Ole miss, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and USC among others.

The Gators offered offensive tackle Cleveland Reed. The UF staff checked in with the Fort Meade, Florida, native earlier this spring. Other schools in the mix: Florida State, Miami (Fl)South FloridaMarshallLouisvilleNorth Carolina and Florida International

-Four-star 2018 running back from Virginia, Ricky Slade, is expected to make a trip to Gainesville sometime this summer possibly by mid-June.
