Daquon Green could not be denied on Friday. The four-star wide receiver put on a show during Florida's 7-on-7 camp catching ball after ball and sending the Gators coaching staff and his team into a frenzy. In one game, when his high school, Tampa Technical, was playing Oak Ridge, Green was able to nab three touchdown grabs, twice in between two defenders.
"I'm seeing everything," Green said. "Everything that comes my way is a completion. No dropped balls, no interceptions."
With every catch the Florida staff saw what they expected.
"They know what's coming," said Green. "They know what's coming when I graduate."
This was Green's first trip back to Gainesville, since he saw UF in action for the Orange and Blue Debut.
“This trip was more about football, but I want to take a tour of the academic department. I still haven't gotten to do that," he said. "I'm going to try to be a journalism major... Probably be a sportscaster some day."
According to Green, he continues to speak to the Florida coaches "almost every week" and is "very excited" to start his career at the Swamp. But that does not mean he is not hearing from other schools.
“Ole Miss and Tennessee have still been contacting me.”
Although schools are contacting the Scout 300 wide out, he is "very solid" in his pledge to the Gators.
