Kadarius Toney's visit to Gainesville over the weekend only confirmed that he made the right choice to commit to Florida.

"It was good, I liked what I saw," said the four-star athlete from Alabama. "The first time I walked into the stadium I had an 'at home' feeling."

The Swamp certainly left an impression on the Blount High School playmaker, but his talk with head coach Jim McElwain was also something he will remember from his trip to UF.

"I always talked to him [ McElwain] but I had never met him face-to-face," he said. "Felt like a father figure, he was very appealing to me, he's the kind of coach I could play for...It felt pretty good, we had a connection...he has this more friendly type of way of coaching."

Seeing the coaches interact with players during the camp, interact with him and seeing the atmosphere around campus made Toney feel at ease.

"The relationship with the coaches and walking into the Swamp and all the different feelings with that stood out to me" and confirmed the decision. "It was really big to me, because I want to get there and get comfortable. The more comfortable I am the better I play."

Toney was not alone, however. During his visit to Gainesville, he also had the opportunity to speak with another Florida target, four-star cornerback Elijah Blades

"I was talking to him about joining me at Florida," he said. "He was rating it [the Florida visit] very highly now, it was his first time visit, and he was amazed like I was and it was basically at the top of his list now."

"I'm trying to graduate early and early enroll in January," he said.

Toney hopes to return to Gainesville at some point in the future, however, he does not about any other visits right now. He recently picked up an offer from Alabama, and he says he might consider a short visit with the Crimson Tide.

"They want me to come up there and throw for them one day."
