The Latest on Ingram and Lee

Although some of the nation's top quarterbacks are committing at a fast and furious pace, that will not be the case for Xavier Lee and Cornelius Ingram. Both quarterbacks are eyeing the Florida Gators among many others.

Xavier Lee, currently ranked No. 8 overall with four stars is from Daytona Beach (Fla.) Seabreeze High School. Lee says he will take his time and made a decision real late in the recruiting season.

"I plan on playing the season and then making my official visits," Lee said. "Right now, I am pretty open and I like Florida State, Auburn, Tennessee, Ohio State, Syracuse and Florida. Playing time is really important so timing at that position will be something I am looking at. Location doesn't really matter but playing on a successful program does."

Lee participated in the Nike Camp in Gainesville this past spring. He also played at a seven on seven tournament at FSU and in Hoover, Alabama this summer. That gave him a chance to check out a few schools.

"I went by FSU and checked them out at the tournament. I stopped by Auburn when I went to Hoover. They are both great schools."

Last season as a junior, Lee threw for 3,077 yards and 33 touchdown passes. He also rushed for 13 scores.

Two-sport star Cornelius Ingram (No. 10), like fellow Florida quarterback Xavier Lee, is in no rush to make a decision as to where he will play his football and basketball. Ingram, from Hawthrone, Florida, will play both sports at the next level unless he has a drastic change of heart.

"I am playing both sports so I really need to stay focused," Ingram said. "I will play the season, then go play basketball and take my official visits. I really don't have a problem with being that busy. I can do anything if I stay focused."

Right now, Ingram is getting back in the football groove after playing a summer of AAU basketball.

"I am throwing well and looking forward to a big senior year and recruiting. I am open right now between Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Tennessee and North Carolina.

"Over the summer, I stopped by Georgia Tech when I was in Atlanta for a basketball tournament. Atlanta is a great city. I really liked Tech a lot and I like their coaching staff. I also went to FSU do catch a practice in May. It was nice to watch them. I figure as well they let Charlie Ward play quarterback why not me?"
