Gators receiver Alvin Bailey to transfer

Florida redshirt junior receiver Alvin Bailey will transfer from the Gators a source has told Fightin’ Gators.

Alvin Bailey, the seldom used slot receiver from Tampa caught three passes for 49 yards in 2015, the only receiving stats of his three year career.

UAA confirmed the transfer.

The opportunity never arose for Bailey at Florida in an offense that struggled more often than not in the passing game. Bailey redshirted in 2013 after coming to Florida as a quarterback at Seffner Armwood and learning the receiver position.

This marks the second receiver in the offseason after redshirt sophomore Ryan Sousa left the team a couple of months ago.

The Gators added five receivers in the 2016 recruiting class, three of which were on campus in the spring. Junior college transfer Dre Massey seemed to pull ahead of Bailey in the month long practices held between March and April.
