RELATED STORY: Gator Gauge: 2017 targets on offense

Defensive End

http://www.scout.com/player/200268-jarez-parks?s=168

Trend:

Schools Involved: Alabama, Florida, FSU, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame

Latest: Jarez Parks is not a man that reveals a lot. The four-star defensive end has not really focused his energy on his recruitment. His last visit was a trip to Gainesville in the spring. Right now the Gators are the team to beat, however, because his recruitment will certainly pick up in fall when he takes more visits and focuses on making a decision, I don't want to completely trend it towards Florida.

Latest: COMMIT

http://www.scout.com/player/199914-chase-young?s=168

Trend:

Schools Involved: Alabama, Florida, Ohio State, USC, Maryland and Oregon among them.

Latest: This looks like a battle between Alabama, Ohio State and Maryland with USC making some noise. Gator defensive back, Jalen Tabor, has been trying to recruit the five-star to Florida, however, Chase Young has still not visited since the Gators offered in earlier in the spring.

Defensive Tackle

LATEST: COMMIT

LATEST: COMMIT

http://www.scout.com/player/195093-fred-hansard?s=168

Trend:

Schools Involved: Florida, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Penn State, Michigan State, Pitt, Rutgers,  Alabama and USC

Latest: Things are trending in the right direction with Fred Hansard. The Hun School standout is set to visit Florida in July. UF has always been a school that Hansard has picked out as a favorite growing up, but he just needed to visit. There is no question the staff wants him.

http://www.scout.com/player/190463-aubrey-solomon?s=168

Trend:

Schools Involved: Michigan, Alabama, Florida, UGA

Latest: Aubrey Solomon's recruitment switched gears very quickly. He liked Florida and named them as his leader and then 'Bama and UGA were the teams to beat and then he committed to Michigan. Although Florida will try to continue to change his mind, this one will be hard to flip.

http://www.scout.com/player/182371-dalyn-wade-perry?s=168

Trend:

Schools Involved: Notre Dame,Florida, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Rutgers, Stanford and UCLA

Latest: The three-star defensive tackle from New Jersey has the Gators on his short list, but he has yet to visit this spring/summer. He has recently visited Notre Dame. Stanford is also one to watch with him.

http://www.scout.com/player/202035-neil-farrell/recruiting

Trend:

Schools Involved: Alabama, Clemson, LSU, Michigan, Florida

Latest: Earlier in his recruitment Neil Farrell had three schools standing out: LSU, Clemson and Michigan, however, he just picked up an offer from Bama and he has also seen more interest from Florida. He is one that has not hinted one way or another with a team, so it is a wait and see.

http://www.scout.com/player/198757-romello-martin

Trend:

Schools Involved: Penn StateBoston CollegeRutgersSyracuse and Florida

Latest: Nothing is going to change with Romello Martin until after the fall. He has not taken many visits, and wants to before making his decision December/January. He picked up his offer from Florida during a trip to Gainesville in the spring.

Linebacker

http://www.scout.com/player/203621-james-houston?s=168

Trend:

Schools Involved: Wisconsin and Florida

Latest: I've had James Houston IV on commitment watch several times, and he could pop any day now. Houston has been between Wisconsin and Florida for a while now. Although to some the Gators are the front runners, others say this is a much closer race.

http://www.scout.com/college/florida/player/203522-ventrell-miller

Latest: COMMIT

http://www.scout.com/player/202209-k-j-britt

Trend:

Schools Involved: Auburn, UGA and Florida.

Latest:  Although I have the Gators as a school involved with K.J. Britt, it honestly looks like a two team race between Auburn and Georgia for the linebacker out of Alabama. Britt did enjoy his visit to Florida in the spring, however, the Gators still have plenty of work to do.

http://www.scout.com/player/197613-kendric-haynes?s=168

Trend:

Schools Involved: Auburn, LSU, South Carolina

Latest: The Gators recently offered Kendric Haynes, however, the No. 15 OLB in the South told Simmons this week, Auburn, LSU and South Carolina are on top-since that offer things have yet to change.

Defensive Back

**This group has not really changed since my story after Elijah Blades' pledge. In the end I have added three new targets.**

http://www.scout.com/player/184433-devon-hunter?s=168

Trend:

Schools Involved:

Latest: Devon Hunter is right at the top of the list. The Gators really him at defensive back. Hunter is set to cut down his list this week. The schools that will make the list: Virginia Tech, Clemson, Florida, Alabama and Auburn. Although UF is still a school in contention, Clemson and VT are looking really good right now. But this five-star's recruitment is not ending anytime soon.

http://www.scout.com/player/190268-a-j-terrell?s=168

Trend:

Schools Involved:

Latest: A.J. Terrell is Florida's top safety target at the moment, and things are going very well for UF. Terrell is set to make his decision in September, and the Gators are confident on where things stand. Scout's No. 15 safety also has  AlabamaAuburnGeorgia and South Carolina in his top six. At this time UGA is Florida's biggest competitor.

http://www.scout.com/player/203708-hamsah-nasirildeen?s=168

Trend:

Schools Involved:

Latest: Hamsah Nasirildeen is one to watch for sure. The four-star safety out of North Carolina visited Gainesville this spring and left very impressed. Alabama, Florida, Clemson, Florida State and South Carolina make up Nasirildeen's top six. The Scout 300 defensive back has not trimmed his list further, however, it seems like this is a Florida, Alabama battle, with the Crimson Tide getting the slight edge. The longer this recruitment stretches out, the better it is for UF.

http://www.scout.com/player/190260-shaun-wade?s=168

Trend:

Schools Involved:

Latest: Shaun Wade took several visits with his team this month. The four-star cornerback, who is committed to Ohio State, said after those visits that he expects to take officials to both Ohio State and Notre Dame. He has not set any officials and he does not know where his remaining three will be. The reason he has started trending downwards, despite many who believe Alabama and Florida are the main battle here, unless Wade visits the status quo will be the same. He is hoping to visit UF this summer.

http://www.scout.com/player/200453-shawn-davis?s=168

Trend:

Schools Involved:

Latest: It's not if, but when at this point for Shawn Davis. The Miami Southridge corner visited Gainesville this month, after making a number of trips to the Swamp this spring. He is a close of a lock as you can get. I think he is the next to commit.

http://www.scout.com/player/202019-christopher-henderson?s=168

Trend:

Schools Involved:

Latest: Things haven't really changed much with Christopher Henderson. He remains committed to Miami and is still talking to Florida and Michigan. However, things are looking good for UF. The four-star Miami native has visited Gainesville many times this spring and once this summer (with Davis). It looks like a  decommitment from the Canes is on the cards.

http://www.scout.com/college/florida/player/182072-deangelo-gibbs

Trend:

Schools Involved:

Latest: Florida did a good job to get back in the thick of things with DeAngelo Gibbs, however, it looks like there is plenty left to do to move up with Gibbs. The five-star told Chad Simmons that Tennessee and Georgia are two schools he likes, but "not necessarily the top." I think the Gators will have some work to do.

http://www.scout.com/player/197872-kendarian-handy-holly?s=168

Trend:

Schools Involved:

Latest: Nothing has changed with Kendarian Handy-Holly. The four-star safety out of Alabama is still high on the Gators. His close friend, Kadarius Toney, is committed to UF.

http://www.scout.com/player/194765-latavious-brini?s=168

Trend:

Schools Involved:

Latest: Latavious Brini has Georgia on top with Miami and Notre Dame closely following after his recent visit to South Bend for Irish Invasion. Brini is expected to announce at the end of July. He made that decision shortly after visiting Notre Dame.

http://www.scout.com/player/192722-marco-wilson?s=168

Trend:

Schools Involved:

Latest: Miami has certainly moved up the ranks for Marco Wilson. Current Gators defensive back, Quincy Wilson's brother, has yet to visit Florida this summer and his father did play for the Hurricanes. Michigan, USC and Louisville are also in play.

http://www.scout.com/player/201502-grant-delpit

Trend:

Schools Involved:

Latest: The Texas native is now a Florida resident. Grant Delpit is now at IMG Academy, closer to Florida. But a Michigan offer is changing things for safety. In a recent interview, Delpit said the Wolverines were close to the top. Another factor to consider, Delpit is originally from New Orleans, and LSU looks like the one with the edge.

http://www.scout.com/player/201416-markquese-bell

Trend:

Schools Involved:Ohio State, Michigan, Rutgers, Florida, Penn State, North Carolina, Clemson, Temple, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin

Latest: This is going to be a hard get for Florida, just because of distance. Markquese Bell is close to his family, so Gainesville could be just too far. However, it looks like he is considering an OV, which means anything can happen. However, don't hold your breath.

http://www.scout.com/player/190513-brian-edwards

Trend:

Schools Involved: Florida, Alabama, Clemson

Latest: Things are just too new to call for Brian Edwards. The St. Thomas Aquinas safety picked up his offer from Florida in June and the Gators propelled up the board, however, he is set to camp at Alabama, and if they were to offer things can change. Right now UF is in a good spot.

http://www.scout.com/player/200926-brad-stewart

Trend:

Schools Involved: Florida, Alabama, Auburn Oklahoma, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and FSU

Latest: Good news when it comes to Brad Stewart he does not want to stay in state, which means LSU is not a big threat to Florida right now. He has visited Florida, and the Gators definitely are high, however, he wants to visit a few schools this fall.
