On Wednesday Kai-Leon Herbert made things official and committed to Michigan. The four-star offensive lineman from American Heritage, chose the Wolverines over Florida and Miami-the Gators were a one time leader.
With Herbert committing elsewhere, where does Florida stand with their 2017 offensive line board?
UF currently has one pledge, who remains solid.
Now to the targets:
Schools Involved: Miami, Florida, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida State
Latest: Nothing has changed with Navaughn Donaldson since Gator Gauge was posted last week. The Miami Central offensive tackle is committed to the local school, University of Miami. He has also visited several schools, but has yet to make a trip to Gainesville this spring/summer. Expect Florida to turn things up to get him on campus.
Schools Involved: Alabama and Florida
Latest: Alex Leatherwood is expected to visit the Gators for Friday Night Lights this month. The Alabama pledge is Florida's top priority in the trenches, and in my opinion, is the only school that could flip him from 'Bama at this time.
Schools Involved: Clemson, Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, and Tennessee.
Latest: Nothing has changed when it comes to the five-star offensive lineman from American Heritage. Clemson is Slaton's top school, and with Herbert's commitment to Michigan, expect the Wolverines to be more in the conversation.
Schools Involved: Florida, Georgia Southern, Iowa State, Louisville, Virginia Tech and Mississippi State
Latest: Caleb Chandler decommitted from Iowa State earlier this month and is now open to new suitors. He is planning to visit Florida, and the Gators are in his top six.
Schools Involved: Michigan, Michigan State, Pitt, Florida and Tennessee
Latest: As you've read on here previously, Jordan Reid is expected to make his decision this week at The Opening. The Gators are among his finalists, however, it looks like Michigan State is going to be the favorite. The draw in-state seems to much to get over.
Schools Involved: Michigan, UGA, Florida, Alabama, Auburn, FSU, Ohio State, Tennessee and Clemson
Latest: Things have been quiet for Tony Gray. The four-star tackle from Georgia had a "great visit" when he took a trip to see the Gators in the spring. He has visited other schools as well: Georgia, Kentucky, Louisville, and LSU. Gray will most likely only commit on Signing Day.
Schools Involved: Florida, Florida State, Marshall, Michigan State, UNC, Tennessee, and Virginia.
Latest: Billy Ross visited Florida this summer, however, North Carolina seems to be the leader for the lineman from West Virginia. He named the Tar Heels his leader following his recent trip to Chapel Hill at the end of June. He told InsideCarolina.com that his parents wanted him to commit during his trip.
