Fightin’ Gators: How was the summer for you guys?
Tyler Jordan: “It’s been going well. We’ve been working hard in the weight room and on the field Coach Kent has been getting us a lot factor.”
FG: How much different is it for you this year unlike a year ago when you had a couple of months to learn before the season?
Jordan: “I feel very confident and optimistic. With me being in the system for a year now, I will be able to come out with more confidence to play to the best of my ability.”
FG: How about some of the other guys, how are they doing?
Jordan: “Brandon Sandifer has been doing (well). All that stuff on social media with him losing weight, he’s gotten a lot faster.”
“Another guy that has been working hard is Jawaan Taylor. He has kind of separated himself. His footspeed and hand strength are two things that really stand out. He has hands like a boxer. They are really heavy.
On Nick Buchanan… “He’s been working with his foot speed really good. He’s been hitting the indoor every day getting the work in.”
On Richerd Desir-Jones… “He’s good and always in the play book. At the end of every meeting he is always trying to get us pumped up.”
FG: Any goals for this year?
Jordan: “First I want to stay on my grades. That is a big personal goal for me. I want to be an SEC or Academic All-American. On the field I just want to play hard and help the team win.”
FG: What is going to make this offense different from last season?
Jordan: “Our explosive plays. We have a bunch of good guys, Dre, Freddie, Josh, a lot of young guys that can contribute. You can see when they go out they run their routes well and can do things with the ball.”
