Where does Florida stand with the defensive back left on their board.

Florida added one more defensive back to its class on Saturday, with the addition of three-star cornerback, Shawn Davis. With the Gators expected to take at least one more corner and one safety in this class, FightinGators.com takes a look at where things stand with the remaining targets left on the board.

The Florida Gators welcomed a new addition to the 2017 class on Saturday, Shawn Davis

Davis is the third cornerback back pledge for Jim McElwain and his staff. Davis joins Elijah Blades and Marco Wilson on the list of pledges, however, UF is not done yet this cycle. Florida is expected to add at least one more corner and a safety to this group. Here is a look at where things stand with some of the names on the board.

Devon Hunter is one of the most highly sought after recruits this cycle, however, Torrian Gray and the Gators have done a remarkable job grabbing his attention, and his mother's attention. Although Virginia Tech continues to be the school many feel lead, the Gators are not far behind. Many believe UF has surpassed Clemson and is the out of state school with the best chance in landing the five-star. Hunter's recruitment will not end tomorrow or next week-this will go down to National Signing Day.

Despite Tray Bishop's commitment to Auburn, don't expect Florida to stay quiet. Although the Tigers offer Bishop a chance at quarterback, the Gators did enough to put them firmly in the playing field and a possible official visit.

Brad Stewart delayed his his August 17th decision earlier this month. It was believed Florida was going to be his choice if he did in fact choose on that day. The Louisiana native has picked up an offer from LSU, but there is still a feeling he wants to head out of state. Florida, Alabama, Ole Miss, Auburn, and Tennessee are some of the schools that remain in the mix for him. The Gators should still feel confident with Stewart, however.

Things are a mixed back with Ambry Thomas. The four-star cornerback from Michigan is still considered a lean towards the in-state schools, Michigan and Michigan State, however, UF has been mentioned as a possible landing spot. According to Sam Webb, over on Scout's Michigan site, Thomas' mom is going to play a crucial role in his decision. Where she visits is key.

"I've been to the schools that I'd like him to go to," she told Webb. "So I've been to Notre Dame, Michigan, Michigan State and I plan on visiting Florida with him in the next few weeks."

C.J Henderson has been committed to Miami for quite a while, however, he has taken several trips to Gainesville the past few months, and his recruitment is trending more towards the Gators then to the Hurricanes. Henderson is also close to recent commit, Shawn Davis and Davis' teammate at Miami Southridge, four-star tight end, Kemore Gamble

It's wait and see with Shaun Wade. It's always a good policy to see the recruits' action rather than words in looking at a recruitment. Wade has said he will visit Florida with his family at some point, however, he still has not this year. He has visited a number of other schools including Ohio State (where he is committed to) and Notre Dame. The Irish is one school that has certainly moved up with Wade in recent months since his visit this summer. Michigan and Alabama are also involved in his recruitment. I
