Grant Delpit made the move to IMG Academy this summer after moving to Florida from Texas in the summer.
"It's been a blessing to come over here and the speed they go here is top notch because you've got to be faster and know the most," said the four-star safety.
His move to the Sunshine State was not the only big change for the defensive back this summer. In July Delpit also decided to make his pledge to LSU.
"It was definitely a good thing. LSU is a home for me," he said. "I'm from there. It's good to get back there and get back to my community, get back to my family and come watch me every game. In my head, I always knew LSU was the leader for me."
However, his move to Florida has changed a few things - one his proximity to the Florida Gators.
"I can visit whenever I want to," he said. "When I was in Houston, I couldn't visit, but now, that'll help them."
Despite his commitment to the Tigers, Delpit is considering taking five official visits.
"I'm taking all my visits. I know one school for sure is Florida, but I have to figure everything out," he said. "I love the [Gators] coaching staff and I feel like I could do well there."
Although he is confident the Gators will receive one of his official visits, he is unsure on which other program will receive one. According to Delpit, Clemson, Oklahoma and Auburn are just of the schools that are under consideration. However, despite the possibility of official visits this fall, Scout's No. 26 safety remains committed to LSU.
"I'm hard committed right now so if anything changes, I'll always be open."
