A look at the latest Florida recruiting headlines, including a list of who will be on campus this Saturday

Florida is once hosting several players on Saturday for its SEC opener. Who is on the guest list and where do things stand with some of the Gators' main targets? Gators Blitz goes through the answers.

The Florida Gators will hold its second game of the season on Saturday, as they open up their SEC schedule against Kentucky. 

The Visitors 

The Targets



C.J. Henderson is one of Florida's biggest target on the board. The four-star athlete out of South Florida is committed to Miami, however, has visited the Gators a number of times and is close to several commits, including Miami Southridge teammates, Kemore Gamble and Shawn Davis


Tyrone Truesdell is expected back at Florida this weekend. The three-star defensive tackle from Georgia visited the Gators last month, and left very impressed. Although Truesdell mentioned that he will likely not make any decisions quickly, he is one to watch this weekend. 


Markaviest Bryant is another Georgia playmaker expected on campus. The four-star defensive end's cousin is Montravius Adams, who plays at Auburn. Schools in contention are the Tigers, Florida Georgia, LSU and Florida State. The Bulldogs seem to be the school thats trending so far. 


This is big for Florida. Jarez Parks did not make it up for Friday Night Lights, however, the four-star defensive end is among the expected this Saturday. The Gators and Alabama are among the schools Parks is considering. 



Lorenzo Lingard did not visit last weekend, however, the running back out of Orange City hopes to make it to town on Saturday. The Gators are among the schools standing out, however, Miami and Florida State are also involved. 


Four-star wide receiver, Jermaine Eskridge, is no stranger to The Swamp and he will return for the Kentucky game. Eskridge has many suitors including: Florida, Alabama, Miami,Ohio State, Notre Dame, North Carolina, LSU, Oregon and Tennessee among others. 


Florida legacy Judge Culpepper is also expected on campus. The tight end holds offers from the Gators, Alabama, Duke, Notre Dame, and LSU among others. 


Four-star offensive tackle Nick Petit-Frere is a big time lineman in the 2018 class. He holds offers from Alabama, Florida, Ohio State, Auburn, Miami and Michigan among others. 


Kearis Jackson is making his third trip out to Gainesville in recent months. The four-star wide out picked up his offer after a camp at UF this summer. Other schools in the mix: Alabama, Clemson, FSU, Georgia, Miami, Michigan State, Mississippi, and Tennessee.

  • Gators offer 2018 offensive guard Christian Meadows after his visit last weekend. 
  • Florida pledge Elijah Blades will take his first official visit to Utah this weekend. For his full list of OVs click HERE


  • Top wide receiver and top target for Florida, Donovan Peoples-Jones, is expected to take an official to Florida. The No. 3 receiver will also take an official to Florida State and Michigan is a favorite.
