Among the thousands watching the Florida Gators roll past Kentucky last weekend was Maurice Goolsby. The four-star wide receiver made the trek to Gainesville to take a closer look at the team that offered him earlier this year.
"It was great," he said about the trip. "I was especially watching the receivers. I like everything they were doing today. They kept passing the ball, they are a very active passing team. I like that."
:Thats what I'm trying to do, come in as a freshman and start," said Goolsby.
Although the promise of playing time a big draw, the 6-foot-5, 195-pounder was left in awe when he finally witness The Swamp during gameday.
"The crowd, they were just electrifying. Nothing like the Swamp."
According to Goolsby, the staff at UF has made him feel like a priority.
"Every time I come up here it's the same thing. I get the same treatment. It's fun," he said. It's the freedom. I can call them whenever I want and let them know when I can come up here, practice, game doesn't matter."
Goolsby says he has a great relationship with his recruiting coordinator at Florida, tight ends coach Greg Nord, and has the Gators rather high on his list.
"Florida sticks out," he said. "I grew up liking Florida its kind of a big dream."
Goolsby is also expected to visit Florida State and North Carolina.
