2017 power forward Chase Johnson committed to Florida on Monday

Florida basketball picks up its third commitment in the 2017 class. Power forward, Chase Johnson, made the announcement on Monday afternoon.

Chase Johnson is a Florida Gator. The power forward from West Virginia made his pledge to Mike White on Monday afternoon on twitter, "excited to say I've committed to the University of Florida." 


Johnson averaged 17.1 points, 8.8 rebound and 2.1 assists for his former high school, Ripley High School, in Ripley, W. Va., before transferring to Huntington Prep. He picked the Gators over: VirginiaButlerTennesseeKansas StateVirginia TechWest Virginia, and Clemson

Johnson is Florida's third pledge in the 2017 class. He joins four-star point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and four-star wing DeAundrae Ballard
