DT Likes The Gators

Florida is looking for defensive tackles and they have a good shot at this one.

"I am still looking at a ton of schools," said defensive tackle Chris Turner. "Florida, FSU, Miami, Auburn, Michigan State, Ohio State, Georgia, Southern Cal, Nebraska, and North Carolina are just some of the schools that I am looking into. If I had to name some leaders right now, I would say it is the in-state schools - Florida State, Florida and Miami."

Turner, 6-3 and 270 pounds, plays for Jacksonville (Fla.) Ed White High School. On Monday night, they lost to Altamonte Springs (Fla.). In that game, Turner had 8 tackles, 3 sacks and scored a touchdown playing fullback.

The Gators have had some recent success at Ed White High School and they have a great shot at landing Turner. Florida also needs defensive tackles. "What I really like about Florida is that they are a constant power. Florida told me that I could come in and have an opportunity to work into the rotation. I know it is up to me to be ready for that when I come in. Right now, it is all about football. I will start worrying about recruiting later."
