Gators land commitment from defensive tackle Kyree Campbell

Gators landed a commitment from defensive tackle Kyree Campbell on Saturday. The former UNC signee made his decision during his visit to Gainesville.

Kyree Campbell is the latest addition to Florida's 2016 class. The defensive tackle made his decision during his visit to see the Gators. The Virginia native was originally a North Carolina signee, however, was denied admissions at UNC.

Temple, Penn State and Pitt were all showing interest in Campbell prior to his commitment to Jim McElwain and his staff. During his recruitment, he was the East Region's fourth ranked defensive tackle on the board.

Campbell has quick, strong hands and can generate lots of power with his first step.

In recent months, Campbell has attended Wyoming Seminary Upper School in Woodbridge, Va. He is the 14th pledge in the 2017 class. He joins four-star defensive end Zachary Carter as the second defensive line pledge in this class.
