Florida linebacker Alex Anzalone will enter the NFL draft. Anzalone made the announcement on Wednesday.

Another junior announces he is headed to the NFL Draft. Florida linebacker Alex Anzalone is the latest Gator to forego his senior season at UF.

Anzalone shared the news by writing a letter to Gator fans on floridagators.com, "Four years ago, I had the opportunity to fulfill my childhood dream and become a part of the Gator Nation," he said. "Looking back on my journey, I never would have imagined how much this school would impact me. The relationships I have built with my teammates, friends, coaches and support staff will not only last a lifetime, but truly show how special this university is."

Anazlone goes on to thank his teammates and coaches, saying he is "thankful for being a Gator."

"The University of Florida has prepared me well to embrace my decision to enter the NFL Draft."

The linebacker had an up and down career at Florida. This past season Anazlone played eight games, but was sidelined after he was injured against Arkansas. He finished the year third in tackles with 53. He also recorded three sacks, two pass breakups, six quarterback hurries and a fumble recover.

Anzalone is the third player to announce his decision to enter the draft, David Sharpe and Quincy Wilson both made their announcements on twitter on Tuesday.
