Four-star cornerback Elijah Blades decomits from Florida. Whats next for the Gators?

Florida is down to 14 pledges in the 2017 class. Elijah Blades has decommitted from the Gators, so whats next for Jim McElwain and his staff?

Florida is down to 14 commits in the 2017 class, after Elijah Blades decided to decommit from the Gators on Wednesday night.

Blades announced that he is still considering UF as a possible landing spot on signing day along with Oregon, USC, Nebraska and Georgia. This news comes straight after Florida's offensive tackle target Kai-Leon Herbert committed to in-state rivals Miami, canceling his official to Gainesville.

So whats next for Jim McElwain and his staff?

The Gators have plenty of options at DB left on the board:

At this time it's not the best news for Christopher Henderson. The Hurricanes continue to build momentum with the four-star cornerback. Out of the rest of the group Brad Stewart continues to trend towards Florida, while athlete Eric Stokes and safety Brian Edwards will now likely see more attention from the staff until Signing Day. Stokes' father is a huge fan of the Gators, while Edwards is expected on campus this weekend.

New Additions to the Visitor List

I've added two new prospects to the visitor list this weekend, Houston DB pledge Donovan Stiner and defensive end Abule Abadi-Fitzgerald. Stiner does not have an offer from the Gators, while Abadi-Fitzgerald picked up an offer from the Gators this week.
