Florida lands its third pledge this weekend after Donovan Stiner flipped to the Gators on Sunday night.

Donovan Stiner is Florida's third commitment of the weekend. The Texas defensive back flipped his pledge from Houston to UF after taking an official this weekend.

Florida continues its successful weekend by landing its third commitment of the weekend. Donovan Stiner is the third commitment for Jim McElwain and his staff this weekend. The safety from Bellaire (Tx.) flipped his pledge from Houston to Florida on Sunday night after taking his official visit to Gainesville this weekend.

In three varsity seasons for Bellaire High School Stiner recorded 156 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, three sacks, two interceptions, four fumble recoveries, and two forced fumbles.

"Stiner's done a little bit of everything in high school," said Scout Analyst in Texas, Gabe Brooks. "He's played deep safety, in the box, corner, and the nickel. Stiner is a long, lean safety who has above average frame potential because of the space he possesses to add good bulk. He can improve his tackling consistency, but he will occasionally provide the big hit. He has a good nose for the ball and coverage instincts having played multiple roles in the secondary. He's a top 10 safety in Texas in what is a fairly deep in-state class at the position in 2017."

Stiner is the fourth defensive back pledge in the 2017 class for Florida. He joins: four-star corners Marco Wilson and Brad Stewart and three-star corner Shawn Davis
