T.J. Moore was a late addition to the board. The Gators were in contact with the four-star lineman, however, only offered the North Carolina native in December. But with Moore's connection with former Gator, D.J. Humphries, the offer was a game changer. Moore committed a few days later even before he took a visit to Gainesville. Although Mike Summer's departure did make him pause a bit and consider an official to Auburn, his official to Florida cemented his pledge to Jim McElwain and his program.
"I'm very excited and I believe we're going to have a great season next fall," Moore said. "I'm ready to get down there and do whatever I can to help us be successful."
"I'm very excited about playing for him," Moore said. "D.J. Humphries, who played at Florida and my high school, has told me a lot about him. He's told me he's a great person.
"Coach McElwain has done some great things since he's been there and I think he's going to continue to have a lot of success."
"On the field, Moore does many things well. He gets off the ball quickly and has good initial punch," said Recruiting Analyst Michael Clark. "Moore has quick feet, shows good flexibility and plays with good leverage. He is extremely athletic and can get to the second level with ease when needed.
"Moore is an effective run and pass blocker. He is very aggressive and plays until the whistle blows. Moore is also very competitive and has a strong work ethic.
"Like all prospects, there are areas where he needs to improve. When it comes to Moore, he needs to continue to add weight and get stronger. He must also continue to work on his technique."
