Gators move up two spots to No. 15 in AP Poll

The Associated Press released its latest college basketball poll and the Florida Gators (20-5, 10-2 SEC) are sitting at their highest ranking of the season after a couple of big wins over Georgia and Texas A&M in the last week. Up two spots to No. 15, the gators travel to Auburn on Tuesday.

In the midst of a six game winning streak, Florida started the season unranked and have steadily worked their way up the rankings with a quality pre-conference schedule and a bunch of road wins against quality teams to start the season.

In the six game stretch Florida has a couple of 30+ point road wins, another 30+ point win at home, a 22-point win over No. 13 Kentucky at home and then an 11 point win at Georgia and a 9 point win vs Texas A&M at home on Saturday.

In NCAA RPI rankings, the Gators are currently 10th in large part because of all the road travels to begin the year, plus six top 60 RPI wins over Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia (2x), Arkansas, and Miami.

Already at the 20-win mark, Florida has six regular season games remaining of which four are on the road. The Gators are 7-1 in home games and 6-2 in true road games on the season.

The Gators travel to Auburn Tuesday night in a game that will be televised live on the SEC NETWORK.
