Former Clemson OL Jake Fruhmorgen is transferring to Florida

Florida is adding Jake Fruhmorgen to its offensive line after the former Clemson lineman has decided to return home to the Sunshine State and play for the Gators.

Jake Fruhmorgen is returning to his home state. The former Clemson offensive lineman has decided to transfer to Florida. The Tampa native chose the Gators over SEC rival, LSU as his new destination.

Fruhmorgen visited UF last month.

“They’re definitely successful,” he said after his visit. “Obviously Coach Mac has brought in a good coaching staff, good players. They’re doing well. I’ve always watched the Gators - even at Clemson.”

His visit to Gainesville allowed Frumorgen to lean more about new Florida offensive line coach, Brad Davis.

“He’s great, really enthusiastic," he stated. "He’s very forward with you and very honest with you. He’s a good, smart guy, so I liked him a lot.”

Fruhmorgen will have to sit out the first year due to NCAA rules. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
