"Felt really good [picking up the offer]," said the James F Byrnes standout. "Florida is a big school. It's the SEC and I love the offer. I love the school. It's very nice."
Gregory picked up his offer after his visit to Gainesville.
"I saw the practice, I watched film with [wide receivers] coach [Kerry] Dixon, and talked to [head] coach Mac [Jim McElwain]. It was pretty good."
The pace at practice left quite the impression on the 6-foot-3, 205-pound receiver.
"Just how they move around. It was just exciting. They had a pretty pumped practice," he said.
Although the practice certainly stood out, it was his conversation with both Dixon and McElwain that certainly set things apart.
"Dixon is straight up with you. He is fast paced and he is going to get you better," said Gregory. "Mac loved my film. He watched it the other day, and he said he loved it and that I will be wearing blue and orange. Thats big to me that the head coach is saying that to me is big. He is straight up and you can come to him any time."
According to Gregory the visit and offer changed things for him.
Florida is a "top school for me," he said. "I love the coaches; I love the atmosphere; it doesn't get any better than this."
Although the Gators are among the top they are competing with a few other suitors.
"It's Florida, Tennessee, Ole Miss and I also love NC State," he explained. "They are just faithful. They all show love everyday and have great coaches."
Gregory plans to commit at some point this summer.
"I want a place with good people, good atmosphere, and I want my family can come see me play," he said. "Also want coaches are straight up and make you be the best that you can be."
