Northwestern offensive lineman Mark Fox Jr. picks up Gators offer on visit

Mark Fox Jr. added another offer on Saturday when Florida pulled the trigger after his visit. The 2019 Miami Northwestern offensive lineman discusses the offer and his recent visit with the Gators.

Mark Fox added his second SEC offer on Saturday, when Florida pulled the trigger and offered the Miami Northwestern offensive lineman. According to Fox, it means a lot to pick up an offer from the Gators.

"Everybody knows that Florida is known for winning," he said. "I like to win and Florida has a good program, and hopefully I want to be with a team like them some day once I graduate."

After a visit which saw Fox take a tour around The Swamp and schools, the Gators have certainly moved up the ranks.

"I really like the campus. It was really fun," he said. "Florida is one of the top school right now."

Although the campus left a good impression, it was UF offensive line coach, Brad Davis and the rest of the staff that really left the 2019 lineman impressed.

"The coaches, how they practice and how it was run [stood out]," he said, " and how the players act. They are not like ra-ra and loud, they are calm and they know what they are doing."

"I really need a good bond with the coaches in a school. I have to have a bond with my coach, with my position coach, which at Florida is coach Davis," explained Fox. "Coach Davis is cool. Thats a good choice. He is cool and calm and will always be honest with you."

The South Florida native is now focused on seeing other schools this spring.

"Just working and going on visits and then I will see if I like them or not," said Fox.

Other schools like Georgia, who has also offered Fox.

"They told me that they want to visit, but I haven't had a chance yet," he said. "I think I'm going late spring after my spring game, we will see how that goes."
