Jim McElwain added his second 2018 commitment of the weekend Saturday afternoon. Corey Gammage was the latest prospect to pull the trigger and commit to Florida. He followed Jalen Goss, a 2018 tight end prospect that committed to the Gators on Friday.
Gammage has been a frequent visitor to campus in recent months and was once again back in Gainesville on Friday night for the Orange and Blue Debut. The Delray Beach, Fla. native chose UF over other offers from Auburn, Miami, Kentucky, Rutgers, Syracuse, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
Florida running backs coach Ja'Juan Seider recruited Gammage while at West Virginia and continued to recruit him once he joined the Gators staff in February.
The Atlantic High standout is the fifth overall pledge for Florida this weekend - they have added two in the 2018 class and three in the 2019 class. He is the fifth overall commitment in the 2018 class and is the second wide receiver in this class.
