The Florida staff is making its way northward on Wednesday, as they head to Central Pennsylvania to see two of its top 2018 targets. The Gators will check in on five-star defensive end, Micah Parsons, and four-star wide receiver, Shaquon Anderson-Butts, who recently was offered.
Parsons recently decommitted from Penn State, stating that he felt that he rushed into his decision after committing to the Nittany Lions in late February 2016. Scout's No. 2 player in the 2018 class is being courted by several programs including the Gators. Defensive line coach, Chris Rumph, is set to be in Harrisburg, Pa. to check in on the top playmaker. In a recent interview with Scout, Parsons said his the top four schools he wants to visit are Clemson, Alabama, Miami and Florida State and he is also looking heavily at Ohio State and Georgia. Penn State is still considered to be a top school as well.
Florida is not stopping with Parsons, the staff is also seeing Anderson-Butts on Wednesday, who just happens to be Parson's best friend. The Nittany Lions is often listed as the school to beat when it comes to the playmaker from Harrisburg High School. The Scout 300 playmaker recently picked up his offer from Florida and is showing interest towards the SEC school. In a recent interview from the Opening Regional in New Jersey, Anderson-Butts told Scout that "Penn State, Florida, West Virginia, Baylor and Louisville" are all standing out.
Parsons has not listed a visit to Florida in the summer, however, Anderson-Butts is not quite ready to list his future visits. The wide out said he might visit Maryland, but he will be visiting Penn State in July for their Lasch Bash.
