Several top Florida targets competed at The Opening Charlotte this weekend. Whats the latest in their recruitment?

"Four-star Concord (N.C.) defensive tackle Rick Sandidge released a top 11 last week, but Florida StateMichiganNorth Carolina and South Carolina are recruiting him hardest. He will visit Michigan, Ohio State and LSU in the next few months. He does not have a timeline for a decision."

My Take: Florida made the top 11, however, needs to do some work in order to make the next cut. At this time North Carolina and South Carolina continue to be the two schools that are trending the most for this impressive defensive tackle.

"Lawrenceville (Ga.) Central Gwinnett quarterback Jarren Williams, who was invited to the Elite 11 seminfinals following Sunday's effort, still has Kentucky atop his list despite a recent decommitment from the program. His longstanding relationships within Mark Stoops' staff has the Wildcats fending off LSU, Florida, Florida State, Alabama, Tennessee and others although he is in no rush to make another verbal commitment."

My Take: Honestly this is too early to tell. Williams recently decommitted from Kentucky and has seen his stock rise. The Gators are talking with him and we will have to monitor his visits before anything. UF is certainly in the conversation, but with every top school finding their way to Central Gwinnett this spring, Florida will have plenty of competition.

"Four-star Shelby (N.C,) inside linebacker Dax Hollifield's top eight is North Carolina, Virginia Tech, South Carolina, StanfordNotre Dame, LSU, Florida State and Florida. His most recent visit was to LSU and it went very well, He will visit Stanford May 19. Hollifield hopes to narrow his list to five this summer and said North Carolina, Virginia Tech and South Carolina are some schools in good shape to make the cut."

My Take: The Gators did a great job cementing their stop in Hollifield's top eight when he visited for the spring game. After that visit, Scout's No. 2 inside linebacker said he plans to return to Gainesville in the fall and he also plans to take an official visit. This one is certainly trending in the right direction.

"Four-star Virginia Beach (Va.) Bishop Sullivan outside linebacker Teradja Mitchell is down to Florida State, LSU and Ohio State. His last visit will be Florida State this weekend before he makes his commitment either later this month or in early June."

My Take: I have been asked about Teradja Mitchell a few times, but his recruitment never seemed to veer towards Florida. FSU seems to have the upper hand in the Tidewater area at the moment. Mitchell is close with several members of the Noles' team including current cornerback Levonta Taylor. Ohio State is also a school heavily in the mix.

"Clemson, Ohio State, Florida State, Florida and Michigan State are the main schools in the mix for four-star Dinwiddie (Va.) outside linebacker K'Vaughan Pope. He does not have a time table for his decision."

My Take: Pope has shared his love for Florida many times, and has often described the offer and program as his dream school. The Scout 150 linebacker visited in the fall and UF continues to be a team that continues to trend for the Scout 150 linebacker. Florida has a very good chance of bringing him South.
